Notes

An annual ride to commemorate the birthday of George Herbert Stancer OBE, an early pioneer of cycling, and former secretary of the Cyclists' Touring Club (now Cycling UK). On this day lots of cycling clubs from all over Yorkshire head for Pocklington. For Otley riders it’s a nice big flat ride and over a hundred miles.

Cost £5 bring cash and pay on the morning at Buttercross Otley. Cheque points at Cawood, Burnby Hall, Pocklington and Otley CC clubrooms (tea & cakes available at clubrooms).

This is the Storm Otley version route avoids busy roads around York though does add a few miles & includes a short section on traffic free cycle route

Storm group will probably be moving at 16 - 18mph.

Meet at Buttercross for 8.45am for a 9am depart.
