The Triangle TT season has begun with two events on the Walshford 10mile course.
Last week we had a mixed one and two up warm up event, with several regular riders and new faces from the club race team.
This week we had the first series event, and with it points in the handicap competition.
Sam Ward was fastest with 21:01, and Helen Goldthorpe, pinning on a number for the first time since recovering from a serious shoulder injury recorded 28:21 as the fastest woman. Tom Smith from the race team recorded an impressive 22:52 on a road bike.
Next week sees us move to the Brownlee centre in Adel for a multi lap 10 mile event. This closed circuit is a great opportunity for anyone unsure about time trialling to give it a go. It would help me greatly if riders can sign up in advance on the rides app, but I'll try to accommodate on the night entrants.
