Reliability Ride - Sunday, 15th Feb 2026
The RR ride is a long-standing fixture on the Club calendar and this year’s ride is the 6th of 11 early season rides organised by cycling clubs across Yorkshire, attracting riders from far and wide. Our ride is one of the most popular of the series and is a great way to show off the club and area to fellow riders.
We need a small number of volunteers to help Trevor Howe with setting up registration and helping riders at the start of the ride from the Buttercross on the Sunday morning of 15th February 2026. Registration opens at 09.00 with riders setting off in groups from 09.30. Our volunteers should arrive a little earlier than this (say 08.30) and are welcome to join the ride later.
We also need volunteers to help Jill Birch and Ann Howe at the Clubhouse on the Sunday morning / lunch time helping prepare sandwiches and serving these, with cakes, tea and coffee, to the hungry riders on their return and with washing up and clearing away afterwards!
Cake baking – Saturday, 14th Feb 2026
We also need a small army of bakers to make delicious cakes, flapjacks, sponges and / or gluten free, dairy free bakes to be dropped off at the Clubhouse on the afternoon of 14th Feb, the day before the Reliability Ride.
If you can help at the Buttercross on the day please let Trevor Howe, the Event Organiser, know at trevorbhowe@aol.com.
If you can help at the Clubhouse cafe on the day or bake a cake, please let Ann Howe, the Cake Organiser, know at annhowe@hotmail.co.uk (if baking, please also say what item you are baking).
Volunteering is great fun; your help will once again be greatly appreciated.
