Gravel ride from Chevin Cycles, Otley (3)

It’s Gravel Time again in Otley.

Otley Cycle Club is pleased to be working with Chevin Cycles to put on a further, free to join, Gravel bike ride, open to both club members and non-members, on Saturday, 25th July.

The 3rd GOT ride, over 26 miles will follow an off-road route that weaves its way via Middleton Moor and on to Storiths, before dropping down to Bolton Abbey. Cafe at Tea On The Green or the cafe opposite. Returning via Addingham Suspension Bridge and tracks between Ben Rhydding and Burley In Wharfedale.

While the route is designed for Gravel Bikes, Mountain Bikes are welcome as well. The ride will again be a steady, enjoyable pace with regular regrouping.

Interested club riders should book through the RidesApp, non-members may book through this Trybooking link

Riders will meet at Chevin Cycles at 9.00 am, returning to Otley around 1.00 pm (ish).

Older children (aged 16 and over) are welcome on the ride if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Helmets are required on all club rides. Riders should ensure theirs is in good condition. You do not need specialist cycling clothing to join the fun but do make sure you bring lots of sun cream and/or are reasonably waterproof, carry sweets (for energy), money for coffee and cakes and a full water bottle.

If popular, the Club plans to put on more Gravel rides, perhaps every two weeks through the Summer, with Beginner’s Road Cycle rides (mentioned separately) in the intervening weeks.
