It’s Gravel Time again in Otley.
Otley Cycle Club is pleased to be working with Chevin Cycles to put on a further, free to join, Gravel bike ride, open to both club members and non-members, on Saturday, 13th June.
The ride route has still to be finalised but will be similar to the recent 27-mile ride out to Muddy Boots, Harewood and, while the route is designed for Gravel Bikes, Mountain Bikes are welcome as well. The ride will again be a steady, enjoyable pace with regular regrouping.
Interested club riders should book through the RidesApp, non-members may book through this Trybooking link
Riders will meet at Chevin Cycles at 9.00 am, returning to Otley around 1.00 pm (ish).
Older children (aged 16 and over) are welcome on the ride if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Helmets are required on all club rides. Riders should ensure theirs is in good condition. You do not need specialist cycling clothing to join the fun but do make sure you are reasonably waterproof, carry sweets (for energy), money for coffee and cakes and a full water bottle.
If popular, the Club plans to put on more Gravel rides, perhaps every two weeks through the Summer, with Beginner’s Road Cycle rides (mentioned separately) in the intervening weeks.
